WELCOME TO RAS

RAS, Inc., is a Colorado based corporation specialized in offering advanced technologies for the characterization and monitoring of aquifers and ground water systems. These new technologies can be used to improve remediation of contaminated sites and to enhance the understanding of the subsurface for environmental, geotechnical, mining, water supply, and wellhead protection studies as well as other applications. RAS provides consulting and technical field services for subsurface investigations. RAS has strategic and technical alliances with scientific and industry experts which allow us to offer the most comprehensive range of non-petroleum subsurface technologies currently available.

List of services and technologies available

We offer borehole geophysical and hydrophysical methods which are related to petrography, lithology, structure, fractures, mineralogy and radiography as well as to the direct identification of water bearing intervals (conductors), quantification of advective flow rates in both vertical and horizontal flow regimes, horizontal flow direction, and medium to large scale characterization of inter-borehole hydraulic connections through cross hole testing. These geophysical and hydrophysical methods can also be coupled with traditional and advanced hydraulic testing (straddle packer testing, single and multiple well pump tests) to increase the level of understanding of the environment being tested. RAS also excels in the integration and presentation of geophysical, hydrophysical and hydraulic data. Interpretation and visualization of different data sets in a manner that directly contributes to project objectives is one of our specialties.

Don't be fooled by our competitors who claim to perform "hydrophysical" logging. RAS principal, William Pedler, is the original developer of the technology, has developed four generations of hydrophysical logging tools, and has the most experience (16 years) in collecting, processing, interpreting and integrating hydrophysical data.
