The RAS wireline straddle packer system (WSP) for subsurface hydrologic testing is the only such wireline system currently available. This system allows for testing to be conducted from a standard wireline. The result is:
- Improved field efficiencies as one person can operate the system, and a pump rig does not necessarily need to be utilized.
- Downhole A/D conversion of the data from the three pressure transducers data for real-time display of pressure conditions.
- More accurate depth resolution as well as easier and faster depth adjustments.
